Farzar Trailer Reveals First Look At New Netflix Animated Sci-Fi Comedy

Netflix has released a new trailer for its forthcoming R-rated animated sci-fi comedy series Farzar, which is set to premiere in July. The story of Farzar is set in the fictional planet of the same name, revolving around Prince Fichael and his crew, “S.H.A.T.” (Special Hostile Assault Team), as they "venture out of their domed human city to fight the evil aliens that want to kill and/or eat them." However, as the group's journey begins, Fichael quickly discovers that all may not be as it seems. The series features a voice cast that includes the likes of John Wick actor Lance Reddick, Dana Synder, David Kaye, Jerry Minor, Kari Wahlgren, Grey Griffin, and Carlos Alazraqui.

Now, Netflix has dropped a brand new Farzar trailer, showcasing the unapologetically dark humor and obscene nature of the sci-fi series. Straight off the bat, the trailer opens with a child character asking Farzar's ruler Renzo (Reddick) a self-aware question about whether the series is going to be like "Futurama or Rick and Morty," to which Renzo replies, "It's going to be more like, shut the f*** up." The scene sets the tone for the rest of the foul-mouthed trailer, featuring sequences involving intense violence, wacky alien creatures, awkward sexual jokes, and some intergalactic action. Check out the full trailer below.
