Wolverine Confirmed Marvel's Worst Romance In The Grossest Way

In the last thing Wolverine ever wanted to see, the hero, unfortunately, confirmed Marvel's worst romance, catching Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver together in the Ultimate Marvel Universe. In one of the grossest romantic pairings Marvel has ever made, the Maximoff brother and sister found love with each other in the alternate Marvel Universe. Sadly for Wolverine, he saw them in the act of passion, which confirmed the relationship with the rest of his heroes.

The Ultimate Universe is Marvel's second-most popular reality, as it allowed creative teams to tell alternate stories of popular heroes with different origins, powers, and motivations. However, during the Ultimates series' last hurrah in Ultimates 3, several storylines in the six-issue miniseries ended up pushing the boundaries of sex, edginess, and grotesqueness in the universe. Namely, when the miniseries romantically paired Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, Wolverine was the hero to confirm their incestuous relationship to the rest of the Ultimates superteam.

In Jeph Loeb and Joe Madureira's The Ultimates 3 #3 by Marvel Comics, Wolverine warns the Ultimates that Magneto teamed up with Quicksilver to recover the Scarlet Witch's body. Wolverine recounts that when he worked alongside Magneto with the Brotherhood of Mutants, the villain tasked him with killing his son, as he couldn't bear to look at him given his human mother. After a failed attempt at killing Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch rearranges reality to stop Wolverine. In the aftermath, Wolverine tracked the Maximoffs down, discovering that Pietro and Wanda found love "that no one in this world can really understand."

While the Ultimates were already aware of the potential romantic relationship between Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, Wolverine's story confirmed Marvel's worst romance to Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Hawkeye even tells Logan that he doesn't "want to understand it" and that the affair was "sick." However, he seems more concerned that the media didn't find out about the sibling mutants' relationship - especially after the world learned that Tony Stark and Black Widow had a sex tape. If you think that entire storyline sounds awful, you'd be right. Unfortunately, Ultimates #3 had little to no redeeming qualities as the gross romance is the most remembered part of the comic's terrible storytelling.

Wolverine saw Marvel's worst romance as it was one of the most disgusting things he had ever witnessed. However, it helped the Ultimates confirm what they were up against regarding the relationship between Pietro and Wanda and fighting to recover her body. Still, Wolverine encountering Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver passionately and romantically embracing one another has to be an image he wished he could immediately forget and never have to speak about again.

The Heartbreaking Story Of BTS’s Suga — From Making $2 A Day To Being Worth Tens Of Millions

With a net worth of over $10,000,000 and an impossibly fast rapping style, BTS‘s Suga continues to turn heads and drop jaws everywhere he performs.

Who would have thought that less than a decade ago, this idol with a worldwide popularity had to choose between eating or riding a bus home?

He made music by working part-time at a recording studio but earned nothing.

Every day, he’d ask himself if he should eat a 1,000 won noodle so he could have money leftover to take the bus home.

Or should he treat himself to a 2,000-won noodle but have to walk home, taking two hours.

Suga used to be active as an underground rapper (and producer!) before he auditioned for a company that wasn’t part of the “big three” of the time — SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment.

Although he didn’t win, he still got 2nd place in the rap competition that this company, Big Hit Entertainment, hosted.

It looked like his career was finally starting to gain traction as he was signed to join the company as both a producer and a trainee.

But even when he was a trainee, he still worked a part-time job as a deliveryman to make ends meet.

He got into an accident while making a delivery, injuring him.

"I had the accident when I was delivering on a motorcycle. When I opened my eyes, I could see the wheels right in front of me. I got dragged into the wheels and couldn’t move because my shoulder was dislocated." — Suga

After telling this story to his company, the Big Hit paid for Suga’s fees so he didn’t need to have a part-time job anymore.

Even though he was training for three years, he was originally supposed to be primarily a music producer. Good thing he was convinced into joining BTS eventually!

It was during these three years that he formed a strong bond with one of his co-trainees, J-Hope — he even mentioned that he chose to be with him because he motivates him.

"J-Hope is also very energetic. I don’t usually have a lot of energy but he always gives me energy." — Suga

J-Hope shared the same praise for Suga.

"He acts like he doesn’t care about the other members, but he actually takes care of them behind the scenes." — J-Hope

Aside from experiencing poverty, Suga also suffered from the lack of support in his passion to pursue music.

Because of this lack of support and also battling several mental health issues such as depression, OCD and sociophobia, Suga made it a point to raise awareness and educate people on mental issues that are plaguing today’s youth.

"Anxiety and loneliness seemed to be with me for life. I put a lot of effort on how I would work it out, but it seems like I have to study it for my entire life." — Suga

Despite all the troubles he needed to overcome and face, Suga rose from the ashes as a stronger, braver and better person.

When HYBE officially became listed on the Korean Stock Exchange, Bang Si Hyuk gifted him with 68,385 shares of the company, adding to his net worth. With a net worth of over $10 million USD, Suga is a philanthropist who has donated hundreds of millions of won to cancer foundations, disaster relief, and hospitals.

In 2014, he promised fans that he’d buy beef for his fans if he became successful. He fulfilled this promise four years later as he donated high-quality beef to 39 orphanages under the name “ARMY”.

His close friend J-Hope also gives back to the community, having similarly donated hundreds of millions to support the needy.

Because of BTS’s passion for inspiring the youth, the whole group was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea in October 2018. And they have become one of Korea’s most recognizable faces around the world.

Baz Luhrmann's Australia To Be Re-Edited Into Hulu Miniseries

Baz Luhrmann's 2008 film Australia is set to be re-edited into a Hulu miniseries. The film is an epic drama starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, and follows a couple brought together in northern Australia during the Second World War. While Australia received mixed reviews from critics, with many praising the film's cinematography but finding the script lacking, the project still grossed $211 million worldwide. Similar to many other Luhrmann films, Australia found better box office success overseas than in the United States, particularly in the director's home country the film is based on.

In a statement from Luhrmann via THR, it has been revealed that Australia will now be made into a six-part miniseries, titled Faraway Downs. The miniseries will be comprised solely of existing footage from the original film, but re-edited with a new ending and updated soundtrack. Faraway Downs will be a reimagining of Australia, also using never-before-seen footage to expand on the existing film. The series is set to release this winter, and will premiere on Hulu in the United States, and Disney+ and Star+ internationally. Read Luhrmann's full statement below:

“I originally set out to take the notion of the sweeping, Gone With the Wind-style epic and turn it on its head — a way of using romance and epic drama to shine a light on the roles of First Nations people and the painful scar in Australian history of the ‘Stolen Generations.’ While Australia the film has its own life, there was another telling of this story; one with different layers, nuances and even alternative plot twists that an episodic format has allowed us to explore. Drawn from the same material, Faraway Downs is a new variation on Australia for audiences to discover.”

With Australia coming in at a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes, there is no shortage of existing footage to be re-worked for Faraway Downs. When Australia was released in 2008, Luhrmann said that he had filmed three separate endings. Given these alternate finales, along with any other deleted scenes from the final cut, there is clearly plenty of extra footage available for the upcoming miniseries to find its own new ending. Luhrmann's comments about Australia's First Nations people and the country's Stolen Generation of Aboriginal children indiciate that the new series will aim to further explore themes of the historical trauma experienced by Indigenous Australians through to the modern day, which many found to be lacking in Australia. Now that Lurhmann's recent Elvis biopic has hit screens, the director's work on Faraway Downs is likely to begin soon.

Scorn Leak Reveals Creepy Design for Main Character

To some, it feels like approximately forever since Ebb Software first announced its biopunk survival horror game Scorn. Inspired by the works of H. R. Giger and surrealist Zdzisław Beksiński, the game and first trailer were revealed nearly eight years ago in 2014. After an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, Ebb Software went mostly silent, though fans of the unique first-person title were riled up again when a new teaser trailer for Scorn was released in 2016.

Not much is known about the game so far, other than it has an incredibly evocative art style and features perturbing organic structures in an alien setting. Players take on the role of a humanoid being that seems able to attach a variety of biomechanical weapons to its body, which enable it to battle the creepy enemies that populate the world. The weapons in Scorn seem fairly standard, despite their distinctive look, and trailers have so far revealed a shotgun, pistol, and some type of grenade launcher.

Now, a leaker on Twitter called Rebs Gaming has shared images of an early prototype version of the player character, giving eager fans a first look at the creature they’ll be embodying. As one person commented about the tweet, the being “looks good but disgusting at the same time.” It is definitely an interesting concept, with dark sockets rather than eyeballs and long slits beneath the nose instead of a mouth. It’s also important to keep in mind that this may not be what the final character model looks like, and a lot may have changed by the time Scorn launches around Halloween this year.

In the prototype images, the player character doesn’t seem to be wearing any clothes, much like the other life forms glimpsed in the game's trailers. But the creature seems to be a combination of tech and flesh, with what looks almost like an exoskeleton and visible musculature. There is also what appears to be a large orifice in the chest and a smaller hole below where the naval would be on a human. In a scene that sums up the particularly intriguing body horror of Scorn, a previously released game trailer shows that this second opening may be where players can attach an umbilical type of apparatus.

Though Scorn was originally slated to come out sometime in 2021 and later got delayed, the official release date of October 21, 2022, was finally announced during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase in June. The game will be available through Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and Ebb Software stated in 2020 this will be a timed exclusivity. It’s unclear when it will come to other platforms, though on the Kickstarter page it’s specified that Scorn will eventually be available on Steam and GOG, with no mention of PS5.

The previous episode shocked viewers with its thrilling ending. As soon as Noh Da Hyun’s stalker Lee Jin Geun (Shin Jae Hwi) walked into Eun Gye Hoon’s restaurant, Lee Eun Jung (Lee Bom) suddenly grabbed a knife and attacked him, increasing curiosity about her unexpected behavior.

In today’s broadcast, Eun Gye Hoon and Noh Da Hyun will discover one new fact about Lee Jin Geun. On the other hand, more photos show Ji Won Tak (Song Duk Ho) and Lee Jin Geun facing each other at the playground in the middle of the night. Ji Won Tak, who isn’t in his police uniform, looks visibly uncomfortable, but Lee Jin Geun showcases a relaxed attitude as he greets the officer with a fishy smile. The air is tight with cold tension, leading viewers to wonder why the two have met up.

Antonio Banderas To Star In New Thriller The Last Girl

Academy Award-nominated actor and Zorro franchise star Antonio Banderas is set to lead the upcoming crime thriller The Last Girl. The film is being hemled by prolific director Jon Keeyes. The director recently collaborated with Banderas on the action film Code Name Banshee, which is being released in select theaters and on demand this week on July 1st. Also starring in The Last Girl, penned by Charles Burnley, is Bombshell and Star Trek Into Darkness actress Alice Eve.

According to Deadline, Banderas has been cast in a lead role in The Last Girl. The report outlines that Eve plays a private investigator forced into a dangerous alliance with a killer. The young investigator aims to "uncover a quiet town’s grisly criminal underbelly and clear the name of her mentor," played by Banderas, who is implicated in criminal activity. Filming is currently set to begin on The Last Girl sometime this summer in Ireland. Eve and Banderas will also be joined in the cast by Shelley Hennig, who is known for MTV's Teen Wolf series, and the horror film Unfriended. Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, and Michael J. Rothstein are producing The Last Girl. This team, along with Keeyes, are also producing the recently announced Samuel L. Jackson film The Kill Room.

Banderas' career spans several decades and the actor has appeared in many modern classics, such as Interview With the Vampire, Philadelphia and Desperado. The actor notably lent his voice to the character of Puss in Boots for the Shrek film franchise, before earning his own solo film as the titular character in 2011. Banderas has also recently joined the ranks of the iconic Harrison Ford-led film saga in Indiana Jones 5, which is due to release in summer 2023. Amid Banderas' largely action and adventure-driven film background, The Last Girl marks a departure from the actor's usual roles as he takes on a darker, grittier character. As such, the film seems poised to become one to watch for Banderas fans everywhere.

Fall Guys Fan Makes Working Controller That Looks Like One of The Game’s Beans

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is one of the most popular party games in recent times. Players compete in rounds featured on stages comprised of different obstacles as they try to be the last one standing. The game has gained a lot of popularity, to the point that there is now a version of Monopoly based off of Fall Guys.

One of the most memorable aspects about Fall Guys are the characters that gamers play as, which have been dubbed "Beans." Players can customize the Fall Guys Beans in a variety of different outfits in order to stand out from the crowds every round, winning crowns in their own style. The characters have become a part of video game pop culture for their cute and simple aesthetic.

A modder known as Rudeism made a special controller shaped like one of Fall Guys' Beans, and a short video on Twitter shows the process of making a controller that looks like one of the iconic characters. The clip features Rudeism explaining step-by-step how they constructed the game pad, which started with creating the buttons necessary to play Fall Guys. The controller has seven buttons and two joysticks, which are housed in a hollow Bean and are accessible from the back. The controller is green and stands in a permanent T-pose, with the character's face displayed on the front.

A commenter stated that the controller looks uncomfortable to use, while another asked if it was sturdy enough to slap other gamers with while playing Fall Guys. Many tweeted that they would like to have one as they do like the look of it, with a few asking where they can purchase it. Despite the controller being quite bulky, it is a nice collectable that would look good in any gamer's collection.

Fall Guys recently changed to a free-to-play model, as well as finally releasing on Switch and Xbox consoles. While there were some issues with servers when the game switched to free-to-play, Fall Guys reached over 20 million players within 48 hours of the change. The fact that the game came to new consoles likely contributed to it reaching the milestone, though developer Mediatonic did not share which systems had the most players. While some were worried that Fall Guys' quality would drop when it moved to being free, there have been no noticeable drops in its stylish gameplay so far. The competitive platformer seems to be holding on, but only time will tell at this point.

Jessi Didn’t Know She Was Being Replaced By Sunmi On “Showterview,” But Her Reaction Showcases Her True Personality

Since debuting, K-Pop soloist Jessi has always gained attention for her no-nonsense, blunt, and charismatic personality. Despite the expectations from Korean society, she has always stayed true to herself and proved her worth through her music and other projects that have captured the hearts of netizens.

In particular, one project that Jessi did that captured the hearts of netizens was her online web series called Showterview.

Each weekly episode would have guests from the world of Korean entertainment, and she would be uncensored when speaking to them about their projects. Not only was it always hilarious but Jessi never failed to make her guests feel comfortable while exploring topics of all ranges.

So, when it was announced earlier in the year that it had aired its last episode, everyone was very upset. Yet, netizens were shocked when it was recently announced that Showterview was coming back! But rather than Jessi, it would be hosted by fellow K-Pop soloist Sunmi.

Of course, netizens were sad to see Jessi not returning to the show and wondered why it was the case. However, it seems that Jessi wasn’t even aware of the change in casting and actually found out through fans on social media.

After the announcement was made, netizens commented on Jessi’s posts to share their sadness. When one said how much they were going to miss her, the soloist replied, “Didn’t know. But good luck to them.”

The comment was shocking in itself as many thought Jessi would’ve been the first to know or maybe had turned down another series. In fact, she seemed to have no idea the show was returning and that she wouldn’t be part of it.

Although Jessi seemed quite blunt, the idol recently addressed the issue on an Instagram live as many thought she was resentful towards new host Sunmi. During the live, Jessi explained that she was being honest and that she was happy for Sunmi.

"I am in a place right now, and this is from the bottom of my heart, like there’s no point for me to bulls**t about anything. I really wish the best for Sunmi." — Jessi

She explained that after the show ended, there were no certainties about the future of Showterview. Yet, she seemed rightly nostalgic as she reminisced on the show and explained that the station brought it back, just without her.

"I took a break. We weren’t sure if we were going to come back or not, most likely we weren’t. But, nothing was finalized, but I guess someone, my friend Sunmi, they replaced me." — Jessi

Jessi then shared that she understood that fans might find it weird, especially considering how unique and unbothered the idol’s approach was to the show. Jessi even revealed that she was given a script but threw it out of the window to make it more fun.

"To be honest, I know that it’s going to be different because, I know guys, one thing about ‘Showterview’ is it was not scripted. When they gave me that script, I said, ‘F**k that, I’m doing it my way.’" — Jessi

Although some people might be bitter about the fact they had been replaced, Jessi showed her true personality by encouraging fans to continue watching the show and supporting Sunmi.

"I’m glad that somebody else is doing it because it’s better than nothing, I guess. So, please guys, show a lot of love to Sunmi and a lot of love to ‘Showterview.’ I didn’t know, I just found out yesterday when one of my fans told me. I didn’t feel bitter at all." — Jessi

The idol then explained that Sunmi is a lot more conservative than she is, but added that it shouldn’t stop fans from watching and supporting the show. Jessi added that it might be different, but “sometimes different is good.”

Jessi might come across as blunt but the idol is truly one of the sweetest people in K-Pop. She could’ve easily been bitter about losing her role on Showterview, but instead, she encouraged fans to support Sunmi and the show no matter what the format.

Congratulations to Jang Nara and her husband!

The Boys: Homelander's Reflection Scene Reimagined As Comic Art

A new piece of The Boys fan art re-imagines Homelander’s reflection scene in a comic book style. Based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Prime Video’s The Boys takes place in a world where superheroes (aka “Supes”) have been corrupted by their celebrity status. The supes engage in reckless behavior enabled by powerful corporations like Vought International, which is famous for its satirical takes on Marvel’s The Avengers in Payback and DC's Justice League in The Seven. At the center of the series is Homelander (Antony Starr), a twisted and narcissistic version of DC's Superman.

Having endured the life of a lab rat since early childhood, one part of Homelander's personality is an insecure child who craves a mother/father figure and the admiration of everyone around him. Another part views himself as superior to everyone. In other words, he’s "the only man in the sky." If he can’t be loved, being feared is “A-1, Okey-Doke” with Homelander. The recently released The Boys season 3 “Herogasm” episode explores this duality in a way audiences have seen before in the show. In a scene reminiscent of Norman Osborn’s exchanges with the Green Goblin in Spider-Man or The Lord of the Rings’ Gollum/Smeagol scenes, Homelander stands before a large mirror in his quarters as his two halves interact with each other, with the “bad” telling the “good” the latter needs to be cut out like a cancer. Now, one fan has interpreted that scene as if it were in a panel on the page.

Artist HanumTaza recently took to Twitter to share an illustration inspired by The Boys. The art perfectly recreates Homelander’s season 3 reflection scene. The piece sees Homelander’s dangerous ego protruding as the other side of himself cries and, perhaps, hopes the man in the mirror doesn’t take over completely.

The above scene is just one example of how The Boys season 3’s adaptation of "Herogasm" is much more than just a wild superhero event. Homelander’s mental state has become increasingly fragile, with Soldier Boy’s return and the potential collapse of Vought pushing him to a breaking point. As the Superman to his Captain America, Solider Boy was Homelander before Vought decided they needed an upgrade. And while The Boys season 1 and 2 never saw Homelander threatened physically, season 3 uses the 70th annual Herogasm as the setting for Homelander’s first real challenge in the fight against Solider Boy, Butcher, and Hughie. Not only is Homelander humbled by this, but he’s almost taken out by Soldier Boy’s new power.

The Boys' “Herogasm" surprised many with its more dramatic elements. Its final scenes sees Homelander staring in the mirror again, this time with a bruise on his face — a reflection of the humanity the supe thought he was above. While there’s no conversation with his mirror alter ego like the previous scene, Homelander’s thoughts are clear on his face. Suffice to say, Starr’s oerformance in The Boys season 3 adds credence to Homelander being one of the most complex and interesting villains on television. In particular, The Boys' reflection scene offers a newfound insight into his headspace moving forward, and this art brings is perfectly back to its comic source material.

Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Reinstates E3 2018 Visuals

Often, during the development cycle, games will go through changes between showcased demos and the final release. One example of this is Dying Light 2's changes from its E3 demo to the retail version. The first Watch Dogs game is perhaps one of the most classic examples of this, and Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be no exception, either. Given this, someone has managed to create a mod for the latter, which attempts to re-implement the visuals that were present in the game when it was shown off in 2018.

A user going by the name Kratoes, with the contributions of other modders, has created an add-on for Cyberpunk 2077 that is simply called "E3 2018 LM," and screenshots of the mod in action appear to show a gloomier version of the game. The purpose of the add-on, according to the description on Nexus Mods, is to bring the game's graphics more in-line with the way they were for the E3 demonstration. However, users are warned that this add-on is not compatible with any mods that affect the weather or the game's general lighting.

According to one fan in 2021, there are some differences between the E3 version of Cyberpunk 2077 and the final game. Some of these changes include the removal of a vehicle's windshield HUD, while one user has suggested that the game's opening prologue was shortened for the retail release. Another alteration shows that the E3 demo has NPCs using elevators. However, it's been theorized that this was removed for the final version as it could impact the player's ability to use elevators quickly if other characters are using them. In general, there have been numerous changes between the 2018 demo and what finally hit shelves and digital storefronts at the end of 2020.

While the game's developer has been criticized for its poor handling of the initial release, new findings came to light recently which may absolve the company somewhat. A QA report shows that CD Projekt Red may have been lied to about Cyberpunk 2077's bugs. The company responsible for quality assurance, Quantic Lab, may have kept the studio in the dark about the issues that were plaguing the game. The report suggests that CDPR was truly not aware of just how much of a mess the game was prior to release.

However, the damage was still done on that fateful day in December 2020. Despite the work that's gone into making it more stable and less buggy, Cyberpunk 2077 is still considered to have had one of the most disastrous launches in video game history. Things are definitely much better now, but CDPR's reputation, even if improved with this new report, is still in tatters for some gamers at the moment.

Image Shows the Inside of the Pokemon Pikachu Train in Japan

Pokemon is popular all over the world, but as one might expect, Poke-mania is huge in Japan, where it got its start. Pokemon can be found in all kinds of places in Japan, even decorating manhole covers or planes.

One example of this is a Pokemon train that's running in Japan. The train is completely decked out in images of Pikachu inside and out, delighting fans young and old alike.

A Twitter user recently shared images of the interior of the Pikachu train. While simply putting up Pikachu pictures likely would have been enough to appeal to some fans, the decoration obviously went far beyond that, evidenced by the photos. Pikachu's overall design has been used to decorate the train's entirety. Pikachu's footprints, tail, back stripes, and overall silhouette appear on the seats and floor of the train. Various types of Pokeballs can be seen mounted on the edges of seats, as well.

The next car of the train is also shown, which not only has decorations but large Pikachu plush toys, as well. This particular Pokemon train car is intended to provide kids with a place to play, as well as offering cute photo opportunities.

While Pokemon has been used to decorate all kinds of vehicles over the years, this particular train has an altruistic purpose. It got its start the year after the massive 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, in an effort to bring people back to the region as tourists, and to help cheer up children who had gone through so much during that time. The train makes regular prolonged stops so that the riders can hop off and explore the area, and fans can also collect stamps at each stop on a special activity sheet.

Entering Japan as a tourist right now is a bit tricky, as there are limitations following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for those who are interested in riding the train, tickets can be purchased in advance. The train has seen redesigns over the years, so even fans who have ridden it before might want to check it out again on future trips to Japan.

Many game-related companies put in an effort to help raise funds and awareness for the affected areas following the 2011 earthquake, including Bungie and Square Enix. While the earthquake is just a memory for many, the Pikachu train continues its efforts to bring smiles and tourists to the region.

Joo Ji Hoon Talks About The Importance Of Humor And Reveals His Biggest Wish

Joo Ji Hoon graced the cover of the July issue of Dazed Korea!

In celebration of 75 years of Dior, Joo Ji Hoon participated in a photo shoot wearing the iconic fashion brand’s clothing. He shared his thoughts on the outfits, saying, “I could feel the craftmanship in the detail of every item, and I think that makes Dior even more unique. I can feel through the fit and the silhouette the hard work of the designer who must have thought endlessly about how to make each item of clothing more perfect.”

The actor once mentioned that “humor” was his most important keyword. He followed up on his declaration as he commented, “Just like how your preferences evolve as time goes by, my sense of humor is also changing. Fortunately, there always seems to be someone that clicks with my sense of humor on set. Since the person whose sense of humor fits well with mine is always changing, it’s hard to choose any particular one.”

In an interview two years prior, Joo Ji Hoon had shared that he wanted to ride a bicycle for so long that his legs would burst. When asked if he had any more such wishes, he responded, “I’ve been riding my bicycle recently. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I complete a course I decided on, so I think I’ve fulfilled that wish. As daily life is slowly going back to normal, like everyone has been waiting for, this might seem obvious. But I hope to be able to meet my audience and my viewers through a great project.”

The actor is currently reviewing an offer to star in a new sci-fi drama.

Marvel's Perfect MCU X-Men Debut Avoids Eternals' Worst Mistake

Marvel’s introduction of the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe should avoid the mistakes of Eternals (2021) by giving viewers a mutant Disney+ series, instead of another film. Since the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney, mutants and the X-Men have been on the cards for Marvel Studios, even mentioned by Kevin Feige, but no details of their introduction into the MCU have yet been released. While an X-Men film seems the likely candidate to introduce them to the MCU, it would be better to start their stories in a Disney+ series.

Audiences have wanted to see the X-Men interact with established MCU characters for years, with their dreams getting one step closer to reality in 2019 after Disney bought back the rights to the characters. But since then, practically no information has been released about when mutants might be introduced into the MCU, who will be cast as which X-Men characters, or how the studio will blend such a massive narrative with a rich history into the already fleshed-out world of the Avengers. At San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, Marvel chief Kevin Feige mentioned that a project involving the mutants was in the works, so now it could be just around the corner, and the opportunity is there for Marvel to avoid previous mistakes.

X-Men films of the past, while helping to revitalize the superhero genre, failed to showcase the individual stories of each character to a depth that audiences wanted to see. Characters such as Rogue, Scott Summers, and Gambit were pushed aside to save space for the likes of Wolverine, Professor X, and Magneto. If Marvel Studios were to introduce the mutant X-Men in yet another film, the same mistakes could be repeated. The use of too many characters in one story would complicate the narrative and confuse audiences – a mistake demonstrated by Eternals (2021), where Marvel tried to introduce all 10 new superheroes, meaning that none got the development they needed. This problem could be solved through the medium of a Disney+ series.

If each of the central members of the X-Men had a dedicated character-focused episode in a Disney+ series, their origin stories could be far better developed without other distractions muddying the waters. Audiences would get a clearer insight into the background of these mutants, becoming better acquainted with each one and paving the way for a potential team-up film or even a team-up in the finale of the series, akin to What If…. Marvel Studios would be well advised to deliver episodes exploring each character’s strengths and abilities, laying the groundwork before bringing them together. This is a formula proven to work as far back as Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ending with The Avengers. As the Disney+ series’ have budgets similar to that of MCU films, the cinematic themes and special effects that go hand-in-hand with these characters wouldn’t be lost in an X-Men series either.

A Disney+ series would allow characters to be better developed and would give audiences a better pay-off when they are brought together in a crossover event. Marvel Studios should learn from the mistakes of the past and give fans the X-Men stories they’ve always desired with well-developed characters and strong backstories. Whether Marvel Studios releases a film based on the mutants or a Disney+ series delving deeper into their individual stories, it surely won’t be too much longer until the X-Men find their home in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Moon Knight: Did The MCU Pick The Right Tone?

Movies based around Marvel Comics used to come from a variety of sources, owned by many different companies and completely unaffected by each other. One by one, every limb of Marvel's on-screen presence has been killed or assimilated into the unending growth of the unstoppable Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Unfortunately, as detractors have pointed out for over a decade, the MCU has trouble differentiating its works in terms of tone. Their stories feel distinct and different, but, as crossover becomes more key to the franchise, less deviation from the cultural hegemony is tolerated. Unfortunately, the MCU's specific tone doesn't fit every work equally.

Moon Knight season one is out and fans are intensely divided. Most have praised Oscar Isaac's performance and elements of the writing, while others have derided the show as too similar to its peers. Some of the harshest criticism has come from hardcore fans of the source material, who were incensed at the series' many substantial changes. The treatment of the Mr. Knight personality was considered particularly offensive to some. The series' marketing is a substantial culprit in this backlash, as the early trailers and posters seemed to be selling a much darker show than the one fans saw. Looking at the comic books that inspired the series does raise some questions about the series' take on the character.

Fans of the Moon Knight comics likely went into the series expecting to see their hero crush criminals and cultists in gory action scenes while swapping through multiple personalities. The story they got focused far more heavily on globe-trotting adventure, comedic bickering, and battles between CGI monsters. The most violent moments took place out of costume and were often skipped over with the series' blackout gimmick. Elements of its presentation seemed deliberately designed to bait and switch comic book fans. Mr. Knight looks note-perfect but acts as a British comic relief character that is almost the exact opposite of the source material. Every time the series seems prepared to let Marc off the leash against a non-CGI foe, it's edited out to preserve the all-important family-friendly presentation.

The most distracting element of this blatant compromise with Disney's squeaky-clean image is the way that it handles Marc's mental state. The depiction of trauma and recovery is often chilling. Kids probably won't feel much when exposed to the heavily cut-down violence, but it's hard to imagine one being unaffected by the flashbacks in the later episodes. The dissociative identity disorder storyline that is extremely central to Marc Spector's character is handled with a great deal of maturity most of the time.

The series occasionally gives in to the MCU's biggest dialogue issue by undercutting its crushing melodrama with a gag, but it's mostly played straight. Watching Marc deal with the possibility that he may have been in a mental institution the entire time is haunting in a way that does not gel with clumsily boxing against CGI jackal beasts. Each of these elements would be fine on its own. Moon Knight feels like the tale of two series in a way that often detracts from both. Moon Knight's Egyptian mythology takes on the standard superhero action film and Marc's psychological horror duel with guilt and madness cannot easily coexist.

This is not to say that Moon Knight's narrative, nor any particular narrative, would be substantially improved by gallons of blood. This isn't an issue of MPAA ratings, it's an issue of consistent tone. The fate of the world battle against an all-powerful crocodile woman fails to feel sincere when it's placed alongside Marc's personal drama. Often one or the other feels tacked on to make both sell. The worst aspect of this problem is that Marvel used to understand how to handle this type of narrative.

Imagine Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, or The Punisher with the stakes, tone, or framing of Moon Knight's action beats. The Marvel Netflix series took a sincere hand with real issues and set their action setpieces to match. The Punisher introduced a purpose to the character while letting Frank blast his way through criminals as always. Daredevil used martial arts action alongside legal procedural drama and neither ever felt out of place. The way Daredevil handled its action scenes, with grimy backdrops, semi-realistic blood, and intensely personal stakes would've perfectly fit the tale of Marc Spector. Those series were technically part of the MCU, but they were always treated as a different wing of the same reality. Every time a character from The Defenders franchise pops up, they feel wildly out of place in the MCU. Marvel has only grown less experimental over the years, sacrificing variety to avoid even the slightest risk.

Moon Knight handles its elements well, but there is always a discordant record scratch as it shifts between its radically different tones. The character would've fared better in Netflix's take on the Marvel Universe and Disney would do well to broaden its horizon.

Charlie Puth Can’t Stop Simping Over BTS’s Jungkook

American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth and BTS‘s Jungkook have released their much-anticipated collaboration single “Left and Right.”

In a recent interview with iHeartRadio‘s Z100 New York, Charlie Puth spilled all details regarding his collaboration with the BTS maknae. Of course, everyone wanted to know how the collab came to be in the first place!

"He immediately came to mind because, and by the way, I didn’t even know they were going on a ‘hiatus’ when I reached out to him and asked if he’d like to be part of it." — Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth explained that a large factor was that he and Jungkook are genuine friends. So, host Maxwell wanted to know if that was the case and if the two singers cozied up and went ear-to-ear for their cover art photoshoot.

"The cover art to this song here is, for the world to see… Did you guys actually touch ears?" — Maxwell

Charlie Puth immediately got flustered by the question but confessed that he and Jungkook really had been that close for the shoot, which was actually stills from the music video! The cover art itself is inspired by iconic 90s boybands, such as The Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.

Yet, when the interviewer likened Charlie Puth and Jungkook’s relationship to that of brothers or friends, Puth instead gushed about how handsome Jungkook is! We certainly can’t blame him.

Maxwell: To have that brotherhood, to have that friendship to where it’s okay to touch ears…

Charlie Puth: Mmhmm.

Maxwell: But it’s just like … it naturally comes through even in the cover art, man.

Charlie Puth: I mean, he’s a handsome guy.

Still, that’s not all. In every interview, Charlie Puth can’t help but simp over Jungkook.

Charlie Puth also appeared on Hits 1‘s Morning Mash Up to promote “Left and Right.” Again, he was asked how he chose Jungkook to feature on the song. Co-host Nicole especially wondered how one could pick one among all seven BTS members.

"I feel like I would be nervous to like choose the wrong like… What if like… Were the other guys … did they feel left out? Were their feelings hurt?" — Nicole

Charlie Puth explained that he wasn’t quite sure. His collaboration was natural since he had always had a connection to Jungkook.

"Oh, I don’t know. They’re all very talented." — Charlie Puth

While he hadn’t always been ARMY, he became a mutual fan and then a friend of all the members. Yet, Jungkook especially had stood out, and Puth again couldn’t stop gushing when talking about him. Like the rest of us, he can’t get over how handsome Jungkook is.

Charlie Puth: Jungkook is a very attractive human.

Nicole: He is. He really is beautiful. The thing that you posted…

Charlie Puth: No, but I was like… Wow.

Puth and Nicole referenced Howard Stern‘s famous “Hey now!” phrase when describing their reaction to Jungkook.

Nicole: You were like, “Hey now!”

Charlie Puth: Like “Hey now!”

Nicole: Okay!

ARMYs already thought “Left and Right” seemed to depict a gay relationship. While it’s a love song, the only people featured in the MV are Charlie Puth, Jungkook, and a therapist. All three even appear onscreen together, possibly implying couple’s therapy.

All we have to say is that it’s clear that Charlie Puth and Jungkook’s chemistry for the MV was not faked! Previously, Puth shared behind-the-scenes clips, showcasing their chemistry on and off the screen. Check out more below:

John Wick 4 & 5 Can Perfectly Revive One Forgotten Action Movie Trend

John Wick: Chapter 4 and John Wick: Chapter 5 can bring back an action movie trend that’s fallen by the wayside. John Wick 4's battle with the High Table will bring Keanu Reeves’ famed assassin anti-hero back into action, with all of the stunt work and martial arts fans have come to love from the franchise. However, there’s one type of action that John Wick has never cashed in on, and which the upcoming sequels are more than prepped to.

Specifically, the discipline of parkour would fit in perfectly with John Wick’s style of grounded but very physically astonishing action. Created in France by David Belle, parkour is a methodology of movement in which the practitioner, or “traceur”, navigates their environment in the most economical way possible. After being utilized here and there in action movies, parkour really caught on with the District 13 films. Being viewed as a cousin of sorts to more traditional martial arts seen in John Wick and other action films, parkour gained international recognition from the District 13 movies. Co-starring David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli of Kiss of the Dragon, District 13 and its sequel District 13: Ultimatum were packed with stunt-filled parkour foot chases like the world had never seen. Parkour quickly gained traction in action films, and would be featured in movies like Casino Royale, Live Free or Die Hard, The Tournament, Bodyguards and Assassins, and others.

Parkour has not been as prominently utilized in action films in recent years, and the John Wick franchise could be the perfect place for it to make a comeback. With stunt performers from the 87 Eleven group on board and stunt veterans like David Leitch (on the first John Wick) and Chad Stahelski directing, the John Wick movies do virtually every shade of action extremely well. In particular, the John Wick series elevated martial arts films as a whole.

With John’s skills in Judo and his opponents and allies bringing many different martial arts disciplines to the table, John Wick’s fight scenes are extremely finessed and diverse. Parkour has often been worked in as a complementary element to fight scenes in movies where it has been used, and even blended with them in numerous instances. John Wick 4 or John Wick 5 doing the same could be a parkour showcase that hasn’t been seen in a long time.

As seen in the John Wick 4 trailer displayed for 2022's Cinema Con, the movie is continuing the franchise’s endeavor to outdo itself, with descriptions including John wielding a pair of nunchaku. In both John Wick: Chapter 4 and John Wick: Chapter 5, Stahelski, Keanu Reeves, and all involved are, by all outward appearances, striving to keep evolving the John Wick franchise's action. Adding some parkour stunts and chases might well be the next such frontier for the Baba Yaga.

One Piece: How Strong Is Yonko Luffy?

One Piece's Wano Country arc saw Luffy finally take the next big step and rise to the same level as those he aspired to defeat – the Four Emperors of the Sea, also known as the Yonko. Luffy's growth as a pirate has always been staggering and he's gone on to conquer every sea that he's sailed on. On the East Blue, he became the pirate with the highest known bounty after defeating the likes of Alvida, Arlong, and Don Krieg, and his adventures in the Grand Line proved to be rather similar. He arrived on Sabaody with one of the highest bounties despite the World Government trying to cover him defeating Gecko Moria.

Despite all that, Luffy only truly became a threat to the World Government after his little expedition into Big Mom's territory. There, Luffy completely ruined her tea party, destroyed her wedding cake, chinked a significant portion of her army, and defeated two of her three Sweet Commanders, along with stealing her Poneglyphs. Following this, he was declared the 5th Emperor of the Sea, however, Luffy was never truly recognized by his peers. As such, his defeating Kaido and finally rising to the position of a Yonko is quite significant. This time, Luffy is globally recognized as one of the Yonko. The question remains, however, how strong is Yonko Luffy?

Luffy's Strength As A Yonko

It goes without saying that Yonko Luffy is currently among the strongest people in the One Piece world. His growth has been incredible and he has progressed at an extremely fast rate, going from a mere rookie to a veteran pirate after the events of the Paramount War, to someone who could then take down a Yonko Commander and even a Yonko.

As such, Luffy has developed his strength tremendously and much of that is down to his tremendous Haki. Under Rayleigh's guidance, Luffy managed to learn the basics of this power, but it was only through the various challenges that he faced on the high seas that he advanced it to the level where it is now. Luffy can use all three types of Haki in their advanced forms.

His Observation Haki is refined to a point where he can see the future quite easily, while his Armament Haki is at a level where he can damage things internally without making physical contact with them. Undoubtedly, Luffy's Conqueror's Haki is one of his biggest powers.

As explained by Kaido, this power is what Roger used to bring the world to heal and, as such, for Luffy to truly become the strongest, advancing it was necessary. In the fight against Kaido, Luffy finally awakened it and then went on to polish the skill further as the clash continued. Towards the end of it, he used it in conjunction with his Devil Fruit powers and brought down a man worth 4.6 billion berries with the title of the "Strongest Creature in the World."

While Haki certainly is one of Luffy's major assets, his Devil Fruit is yet another. Although on the surface the Gomu Gomu no Mi looks like an average type of fruit, Luffy has trained its powers to their absolute peak. As revealed in the one or country arc, the fruit is actually a legendary Mythical Zoan formerly wielded by the Sun God Nika and its true name is the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.

That's not to say Luffy was granted tremendous power right from the get-go; This fruit needs quite a lot of creativity to be made useful. As mentioned by the Gorosei, this devil fruit is limited by the creativity of the user and its true power can only be tapped into when the user awakens it.

Luffy managed to awaken his Devil Fruit in the fight against Kaido and thus was able to tap into Gear 5th - a form known to be his very peak. Using its powers, he was able to fight with even more freedom and bring smiles and joy to everyone, living up to his title as the "Warrior of Liberation." With Gear 5th, he gained a new transformation, which is typical of a Mythical Zoan awakening, but he also gained the ability to affect his surroundings and even other people with his rubber properties.

As such, even someone as strong as Kaido couldn't handle the heat from Gear 5th, especially when combined with high-level Armament and Conqueror's Haki. All this just goes to show that Luffy is well and truly one of the strongest Yonko currently.

Luffy's Fleet As A Yonko

A Yonko's individual strength isn't their only asset. In fact, the crew of a Yonko, their allies, and their territories all come into play. It is quite easy to see that Luffy is lacking in neither of those areas. The Straw Hat Pirates are one of the strongest bunch on the seas currently. Luffy has the likes of Zoro and Sanji as his wings, both of which are strong enough to take down Yonko Commanders, as seen in the Wano Country arc. The crew also has strong characters like Jinbe, and potentially Yamato, Kaido's son.

What's more, Luffy also has a dedicated Pirate Fleet called the Straw Hat Grand Fleet that was formed at the end of the Dressrosa arc. While the fleet hasn't been called into action just yet, it is a sign of Luffy being a tremendously powerful pirate.

As far as the territories go, Luffy certainly isn't doing the best, however, there is a lot of potential in this area as well. He already has Fishman Island under his flag and now, Wano Country is likely to follow that route. Many other countries will likely align with Luffy soon enough. For one, the land of Alabasta has been targeted by the World Government and, as such, they wouldn't hesitate to break their alliance with them and side with the Straw Hat Pirates.

At the same time, the kingdom of Dressrosa and many others that Luffy has helped and liberated over the years would also likely side with him very soon, now that he is a Yonko. Other nations that are being targeted, such as Amazon Lily, and even the many nations of commanders of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, such as the Kano Kingdom. Bringing people together was once described by Mihawk as the most fearful ability on the seas, and it looks as if Luffy has exercised this power at its very best. All things considered, Luffy is truly worthy of being a Yonko now and will likely gain even greater strength, and notoriety as he faces off against the likes of the other Yonko, such as Shanks and Blackbeard.

Endgame Directors Reveal The Other Marvel Hero Chris Evans Could Play

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo reveal which Marvel character Chris Evans can play if he returns to the MCU. The filmmakers are veterans in the franchise, having directed four films in total, including two Captain America movies. Alongside writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, they also helmed the last two Avengers installments, which wrapped up the Infinity Saga in acclaimed fashion.

In all of their MCU projects, the Russo brothers worked with Evans. After Avengers: Endgame, they have reunited with him outside the Marvel superhero franchise through Netflix's The Gray Man. Instead of the principled hero in Captain America that the actor is known for, Evans is playing psychopathic CIA agent Lloyd Hansen leading the hunt for Ryan Gosling's maligned mercenary. While the jury is still out about the Russos and Evans' new collaborative work, their team-ups in the MCU have been tried and tested. No wonder there's a clamor to see either or both of them working with Marvel Studios again.

In a new interview with ComicBook.com, the Russos are asked which Marvel hero they would like to see Evans play if he ever re-enters the MCU. Joe Russo says Wolverine, which Anthony supports. Read the rest of Joe's explanation of why Evans would make a great version of the Canadian mutant below:

"Evans has incredible range and great physicality, and he's real good at body control. He's an incredible actor. I don't mean this in a bad way, but he's nothing like Captain America. Steve Rogers is very controlled and quiet, understated. Chris is energetic and funny and charismatic, and he brings a lot of energy to set. I'd love to see him do something like Wolverine."

Rumors of Evans returning to the MCU have popped up several times since he exited the franchise after Avengers: Endgame. However, the idea has always just been to reprise his role as Steve Rogers. Recently, the actor commented on this, saying that it would be a tall order to revisit the character, especially considering his well-crafted ending in the 2019 blockbuster. On top of that, he's also supportive of Anthony Mackie's new Captain America. He, however, is more open to playing Fantastic Four's Johnny Storm through Marvel's burgeoning multiverse, having played the character previously in pre-MCU movies. Because Evans appears to be more receptive to potentially playing a different Marvel character, perhaps doing Wolverine isn't exactly a farfetched concept.

Aside from Evans, the Russos have also been subjected to MCU return rumors since wrapping up their work in the franchise. There have been persistent claims that they are helming a Marvel Studios Secret Wars movie, potentially the franchise's next big crossover project. That makes sense, considering what they were able to do with the ensemble casts of Infinity War and Endgame. For what it's worth, seeing the directors lead another MCU film is more plausible than Evans coming back as Steve Rogers. But, perhaps the actor would consider the idea of playing Wolverine if the Russos are involved - as long as it wouldn't be another long-term thing.

YouTuber Turns Minecraft Mobs Into Poppy Playtime Characters

There is so much that can be done in Minecraft that it feels as though its legacy will continue forever. Despite the fact that it first made an appearance in 2009, with a full release in 2011, it has still been one of the most played video games of this year. This longevity can be attributed to the millions of players that do so many creative things in a variety of ways. Often, such projects seek to bring in aspects from other gaming franchises, even if the result is a bit creepy.

That's precisely what YouTuber halvetone has done. In a recent video, they've managed to turn the mobs of Minecraft into the characters from the horror game Poppy Playtime. Over the course of eight minutes and through a rapid succession of jump cuts, viewers get to see them taking the animals and other creatures from Mojang's IP and turning them into some of the nightmarish, but also adorable, characters from the spooky indie title. Daddy Long Legs, Cat Bee, Kissy Missy and, of course, Huggy Wuggy are all featured, with the latter taking the place of the Iron Golem. It should be noted that these are technically remakes of transformations that halvetone has already done. This newest version is for Minecraft's recent 1.19 update.

For those who aren't familiar with it, MOB Game's Poppy Playtime is an interesting recent horror game, popularized thanks to playthroughs by YouTube personalities like Markiplier. In a similar vain to the likes of Five Nights At Freddy's, what makes the game scary is its sinister take on what could otherwise be considered innocent and child-friendly. In the case of the latter, it's animatronics at a family pizza restaurant, while in the former, it's cuddly toys at an abandoned toy factory.

Chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime recently released, and while the first one was generally well received, this latest chapter currently has mixed reviews on Steam. The problems stem from the fact that the game was launched with bugs-a-plenty, as well as issues with the overall performance. Some fans also take issue with the fact that Chapter 1 has now become free to download, while players need to pay for Chapter 2. On top of that, there's been controversy surrounding the game ever since the developer released Poppy Playtime NFTs.

As for Minecraft, it's gone down as one of the highest grossing video games of all time. Those who have played the game can easily see the appeal of it. Even without mods and custom add-ons by fans, the vanilla experience alone has near-infinite replay value and a sprawling space in which millions of fans can unleash their creativity.

BTS’s Jimin Wants To Be More “Explicit” And “Raw”

BTS‘s Jimin wants to be honest, and in doing so, he wants to be explicit.

In an interview with Weverse Magazine following the release of BTS’s anthology album Proof, Jimin revealed his personal struggles during the past couple of years and the direction in which he wants to take his solo music.

After the release of Jimin and Ha Sung Woon‘s collaborative OST for K-Drama Our Blues, “With You,” Jimin held a live broadcast. During it, he told ARMYs, “Starting with this, I’m going to try many things.” So, interviewer Myungseok Kang asked him, “Are you currently working on new material?”

Recently, BTS made the announcement during Festa Dinner Party that they would be taking a season to focus on releasing solo projects. While their statement was interpreted as meaning they would take a hiatus from group activities, HYBE, Jungkook, V, and RM reassured ARMYs that BTS still have plans as a group.

While Suga, J-Hope, and V have all revealed that they have been actively working on solo projects. Jimin revealed that he is just getting started.

"I’m just starting. I decided to just keep going straight through, staying together with the producers. I think we’ll basically always be together for around a month. We met a few times and were talking about what messages and what kind of appearance or image I want to get across." — Jimin

Myungseok Kang responded to Jimin, saying, “It sounds like you still have more you want to show, even after the Grammys and the concert.” It’s true; Jimin has a lot more he wants to show.

"Exactly. Maybe I can be just a little more explicit." — Jimin

Like the rest of us, Myungseok Kang likely was not expecting Jimin to use the word “explicit.” So, he asked, “What do you mean, ‘more explicit’?” Jimin explained that he wants to show a more mature and raw side to himself.

"I just think I can show something a little more raw about me. That might include a more mature side, too, but what I’m really interested in is showing something closer to my real, personal rawness directly in a format like music or music videos. By doing so, I think maybe I can show something I never have before." — Jimin

Again, Myungseok Kang asked Jimin to elaborate more on his definition of “raw” exactly. For Jimin, he would like to be more honest and explore a darker side that he has yet to.

"Like, something that shows the things I usually think about a little more honestly? My thoughts are already well-represented on BTS’ albums, but, you know, some of the older members have already dealt with some darker material on their solo mixtapes. I think I’m trying to do something similar." — Jimin

Jimin hopes that in his upcoming music, he can communicate with others. Like all of us, the past couple of years has been a struggle due to COVID-19. So, Jimin wants to express his feelings of lostness.

"I’m doing this more for my own sake than because I want to say something to other people. Because after a year and a half of the pandemic, I was thinking a lot about how I was a little lost. Once the other members found out about that, they said, ‘Why don’t you try to make it into music?’ And that made me decide I should try and talk about it in my music." — Jimin

Myungseok Kang added, “I guess it took a little time before you realized you were lost.” And Jimin agreed.

"Yes, I think so. I thought I had a wonderful life before, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt like maybe I was trying to deny something." — Jimin

The pandemic was a period of lostness and even denial for Jimin. So, he certainly has some serious topics he can explore in his music.

Myungseok Kang: You mean, not being able to have an audience?

Jimin: That’s part of it, but I also started to question things and yet tried to brush those things off at the same time—denying them by telling myself I was just enjoying my life.

While we have yet to hear Jimin’s new sound, he is communicating this new direction for his solo music through his style. In the Weverse photoshoot, he opted to go shirtless.

In the previous episode, Lee Hyun Jae got sick from the exhaustion of having to live with his brother Lee Yoon Jae for a few days. Hyun Mi Rae (Bae Da Bin) came to nurse him, and just when they were about to kiss, he sneezed in her face, breaking the romantic spell.

However, the production team released new stills that hint the couple will finally be having their first kiss in the upcoming episode! In the photos, the two make tender eye contact, and the glowing sunset heightens the romantic atmosphere even more. They lean in and share a loving kiss that steals the viewers’ breath away.

Lee Hyun Jae and Hyun Mi Rae are expected to take another step towards marriage. Previously, Hyun Mi Rae and her mother Jin Soo Jung (Park Ji Young) were at odds because Jin Soo Jung disliked the idea of her in a relationship with Lee Hyun Jae. First off, Lee Hyun Jae knew about Hyun Mi Rae’s dark history, and on top of that, Jin Soo Jung was unhappy that her daughter seemed to be pining for him. However, the fact that Lee Hyun Jae’s father was actually adopted will become a catalyst because Jin Soo Sung was adopted as well. The preview for the next episode showed Jin Soo Jung opening her heart and asking Hyun Mi Rae, “When are you going to introduce me to your boyfriend?”

The production team hinted, “On this day, Lee Hyun Jae and Hyun Mi Rae will finally kiss for the first time. In the beginning of their relationship, the Hyun-Mi couple suffered difficult emotional upswings in the process of getting to know each other. They will share a kiss on the beach at sunset to confirm their stronger love. Please check out their beautiful sunset kiss through the broadcast.”

Reed Richards' Darkest Kill Explains Why Not Every Reality Has Illuminati

Many realities throughout the Marvel multiverse have their own version of the Illuminati, but Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four is to blame for some universes going without. In particular, the Reed Richards of Earth-231 caused his universe’s Illuminati to disband nearly as soon as it began in one of the hero’s darkest acts to date.

The Illuminati stands as a cabal within the Marvel Universe, uniting leaders and heroes of extreme intelligence in secret for the greater good. In Brian Michael Bendis and Steve McNiven’s New Avengers #7, the Illuminati first forms by bringing together Iron Man of the Avengers; Black Bolt of the Inhumans; Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme; Namor, King of Atlantis; Professor X of the X-Men; and the aforementioned Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. The Illuminati would later gain new members such as Captain America, Black Panther and Bruce Banner.

Following the catastrophic events of Civil War and Secret Invasion, the Richards of Marvel’s main universe (Earth-616) builds a device known as The Bridge that allows him to view alternate realities in the hopes of discovering where things went wrong. While scanning the different realities, Richards finds that many end in catastrophe, with the Illuminati seemingly doing more harm than good. In Jonathan Hickman and Sean Chen’s Dark Reign: Fantastic Four #3, the Reed Richards of Earth-231 comes to the same conclusion and disturbingly kills all other members of the Illuminati as soon as the group is formed, seeing it as the only way to prevent the danger the party poses.

While the concept of a murderous Reed Richards isn’t a new one, this culling shows the shocking measures the hero will take for what he perceives to be the greater good. It is, however, a moment that informs a lot of Reed’s decisions throughout that era. Reed’s status as one of the smartest people in the Marvel Universe often leads him to place major decisions – such as the killing of his friends and allies – on his own shoulders, as he sees himself as the only one able to solve the problem. Though he often makes these decisions to protect his family, this characteristically ironically led the Fantastic Four to momentarily split up due to Reed’s unwavering commitment to the Superhero Registration Act during Civil War.

Perhaps even more alarming, Hickman later implies that many members of the Illuminati could easily come to the same decision as the Richards of Earth-231. Hickman’s run on New Avengers focuses on the Illuminati attempting to stop Incursions, world-threatening collisions with parallel Earths, and taking some pretty drastic measures to do so. Members of the group erase Captain America’s memory, build an arsenal of world bombs and even blow up an occupied planet to save their world. This eventually culminates in a confrontation with Captain America, S.H.I.E.L.D., and many Avengers who believe the Illuminati should be tried for their history of controversial decisions. While all of this was done to save their world, these heinous acts show what darkness Reed Richards and the rest of the Illuminati can justify when they think it’s for the greater good.
