Konosuba Season 3 & A Spin-Off Anime Series Announced!

The widely recognized isekai anime series, Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! is finally receiving another anime sequel of the Japanese television series. The news related to Konosuba Season 3 was announced in a live event with an official confirmation and also a key visual.

On Saturday, the makers of the popular isekai comedy series organised a live event on the official YouTube channel of studio Kadokawa Anime. The voice acting cast of Konosuba participated in the event and shared the news about Konosuba Season 3 with the fans. Check out the new key visual released by the officials:





Konosuba Season 3 Confirmed!

The animation production of Konosuba Season 3 will be handled by Studio Drive who’s also in charge of some upcoming anime in 2022 like Uzumaki and To Your Eternity Season 2. The original staff is returning to produce the new season at Studio Drive. Other than the confirmation of the third season of Konosuba, the makers also revealed that an anime spin-off, titled “Konosuba: An Explosion on this Wonderful World!”, is also in production which will be about Megumin and her life before meeting Kazuma.

KonoSuba is a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. The series follows Kazuma Satō, a boy who is sent to a fantasy world with MMORPG elements following his death, where he forms a dysfunctional adventuring party with a goddess, an archwizard, and a crusader.

An anime television adaptation by Studio Deen premiered in 2016 which was followed up by the second season in 2017. An anime film adaptation by J.C. Staff was also released in 2019. And, this time a third season and a spin-off series has been decided with a changed studio. More updates will be shared with you as soon as it will be revealed.
